Job Description

  • Time of Work (e.g. 9am to 5pm): Monday to Thursday (8:00AM-6:00PM); Friday (8:00AM-5:00PM)
  RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining and managing the company’s general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role supports month-end and year-end closing processes, ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and assists in financial analysis and reporting.  
  • Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts on a regular basis
  • Performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  • Preparing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Supporting audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
