RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining and managing the company’s general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role supports month-end and year-end closing processes, ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and assists in financial analysis and reporting.
Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts on a regular basis
Performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
Preparing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
Supporting audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules
Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
